1. INTRODUCTION
AFTER EUROVISION is an online contest created just for fun and as a solution for the post Eurovision depression...
Here we're explaining you all the rules of the game, the steps you have to do to be able to vote, the countries that will take part in the contest, and more important tips...
Let's start!

2. HOW AN "EDITION" WORKS
49 countries take part in each edition: We thought about it and we decided to include all the countries that have participated in the contest at least two or three times. Thus, they are:
  • Albania
  • Andorra
  • Armenia
  • Australia
  • Austria
  • Azerbaijan
  • Belarus
  • Belgium
  • Bosnia&Herzegovina
  • Bulgaria
  • Croatia
  • Cyprus
  • Czech Republic
  • Denmark
  • Estonia
  • Finland
  • France
  • FYR Macedonia
  • Georgia
  • Germany
  • Greece
  • Hungary
  • Iceland
  • Ireland
  • Israel
  • Italy
  • Latvia
  • Lithuania
  • Luxembourg
  • Malta
  • Moldova
  • Monaco
  • Montenegro
  • Norway
  • Poland
  • Portugal
  • Romania
  • Russia
  • San Marino
  • Serbia
  • Slovakia
  • Slovenia
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland
  • The Netherlands
  • Turkey
  • United Kingdom
  • Ukraine
We chose randomly the songs that represented each country in the first edition of the game (of course the singers or composers of each song have to do with the country that they represent).
However, you can propose us whatever candidature for whatever country you want for next editions! The only requirement you have to meet is the one we refer before (the artist has to be born or at least he/she has to do something with the country you want him/her to represent).
As we said before, 49 countries are participating in each edition and as in the real contest, we have also two semifinals and one grand final.
THIS IS SO IMPORTANT: Only in the first edition, Big 5 countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom) were already qualified to the grand final (plus host country, Israel). Then, in next editions we are also having six authomatic finalists, but they are the first 6 countries in the ranking of the last edition. For example, if in one edition the 6 first countries are Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Australia, Austria and Azerbaijan, they will be already qualified to the grand final of the next edition of the contest.
Thus, we will always have 43 semifinalists (22 in the first semifinal and 21 in the second one), and only 20 of them will qualify for the grand final (best 10 songs in each semifinal qualify, as in the real contest happens). Finally, 26 countries will sing in the grand final and, as we mention before, the first 6 countries will get the ticket to the grand final of the next edition.
As in the real Eurovision happens, we will obtain the votes of the shows getting a televoting grid and a jury combined result:
Professional singers, artists, experts, Eurovision fans or journalists are participating in the game being the juries (we will announce: before every edition, the names of each jury member, and after every edition, the points from all of them detailed).
The points from the televote depend on you. We will count all the points from every country to obtain the televoting part, and after every edition we will reveal them detailed.
Finally, we will obtain a winner that will "host" (in an online way) the next edition.

3. HOW CAN I VOTE?
The televote part depends on YOU, so please pay attention to the next few paragraphs.
After we reveal the songs' recap of each show (semifinals or grand final) at our Youtube channel, we will open a "voting period" of 7 or 8 days more or less where your vote will be able to take part of the game. Voting before or after that "voting period" suppose that your vote won't be count.

Don't worry about that; the dates of all the issues you want to know (voting periods, full shows, announcement of singers and songs of every country...) are being update daily in our social media pages and, of course, in this website. CLICK HERE to find out the full calendar, don't miss it and stay informed!
Well, during the voting period your vote will be count if you send to our mail adress (aftereurovision@gmail.com) your TOP 10 following the Eurovision method (12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1) and saying us where are you from. For instance, this could be an example of a vote that would be count:

I am from United Kingdom, and my votes are:

12 points to XXXX
10 points to XXXX
8 points to XXXX
7 points to XXXX
6 points to XXXX
5 points to XXXX
4 points to XXXX
3 points to XXXX
2 points to XXXX
1 point to XXXX

It is essential that you mention where are you from; otherwise, your vote won't be count.

4. DATES AND SCHEDULE

Every edition of our game consists of three shows (two semifinals and one grand final), three voting periods (explained just above), all the 49 candidatures' announcement... It could be a mess and a little stressful for us trying to reveal and to do all of this stuff in a few days, so we organized the sections that every edition has. They are (ordered chronologically):
  • Announcement of 49 songs
  • Draw of the semifinals running order
  • Announcement of jury members
  • Publication of the two semifinals' recap (at our Youtube channel)
  • Opening of the two semifinals' voting period
  • Closing of the two semifinals' voting period
  • FULL 1st SEMIFINAL SHOW (Link to Google Drive)
  • FULL 2nd SEMIFINAL SHOW (Link to Google Drive)
  • Draw of the grand final running order
  • Publication of the grand final recap (at our Youtube channel)
  • Opening of the grand final voting period
  • Closing of the grand final voting period
  • Jury voting order of the final announced
  • FULL GRAND FINAL SHOW (Link to Google Drive)
  • Jury and televoting results detailed
The full show's videos can't be uploaded to Youtube due to Copyright problems and also due to long duration. You will be able to watch them going to the link that we give you... but pay attention: The videos are pretty big for our computers and mobile phones, so be patient while downloading them; then, enjoy!
Each of those issues above have one different designated date for every edition that we reveal in our social media pages and of course in this website.

5. COMPETITION AND RANKING
When every edition will finish, a full ranking will be established from position number 1 to the last one, 49.
Thus, we will be adding each country the results they get in every contest to create a full ranking.
For example, if Albania finishes in the first edition 10th, in the second one 22nd and in the third one 37th, its ranking after three editions will be: 10+22+37 = 69.
In this way, we'd create a full ranking ordered from lowest to highest and we will update it after every edition.
